The Australian pop/soft rock band Air Supply was formed in 1976 under the leadership of Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell, but it wasn't until 1980's Lost In Love, their third album but the first one released in the U.S., that the band became well-known and loved within the U.S. Their light brand of inoffensive pop and soft rock is mocked as bubblegum fluff by some today, but there was no denying their impact upon the American music scene during the first half of the 80s decade.
Hitchcock and Russell had a knack for composing lush, sugary sweet melodies that would compliment their golden vocals perfectly; a potent combination that created many timeless love songs that were (and still are) staples during weddings, romantic weddings and other related events. It should come as no surprise that the three songs highlighted above were also Top Five hits. While the remainder of the album doesn't reach the same memorable level as the above trifecta, Air Supply never deviated from their winning formula on Lost In Love, so even their less stellar offerings have a soothing and pleasing feel to them.
